Romanian DJ/producer Kidoo makes his Cuttin’ Headz debut with his new four-track EP, ‘Hotwing'

In the middle of his busiest summer to date, with Ibiza shows for Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi, Circoloco and Solid Grooves at DC10, as well as joining The Martinez Brothers and Paco Osuna at Hï Ibiza, Romanian talent Kidoo is laying down a marker and showing why many have been keeping tabs on him as an emerging name to know about. Building on releases via Solid Grooves Raw, Mindshake and MÜSE, he now heads to The Martinez Brothers’ renowned Cuttin’ Headz imprint for the first time, with this label debut welcoming four slick productions in the form of his ‘Hotwing’ EP

Title track ‘Hotwing’ is a crisp roller as tight percussion grooves go to work beneath hooky vocal snippets and bumping bass licks, while rhythm focuses on organic drums, alluring Latin vocals and playful tones and textures. Next, ‘Kitty Here’ is a slinking production that combines wonky melodies and glitchy, off-kilter samples for a track loaded with twists and turns, before ‘Junks’ closes proceedings by delivering a slick, stripped-back slice of minimal-leaning house.
